Samsung Promotes Theft-Protection Features for Galaxy Devices

In an effort to combat mobile phone thefts, Samsung is urging smartphone users in the UK to activate and update the latest anti-theft features available on Samsung Galaxy devices. The company has implemented security measures in its recent One UI 7 update, including biometric security, remote lock, and a theft detection lock tool. These features, previously only available on the newest Galaxy S25 models, are now accessible on older devices as well.

Enhanced Security Measures

Annika Bizon, Samsung’s mobile experience VP of product and marketing, emphasized the importance of ensuring the safety and security of customers using mobile devices. The anti-theft features in One UI 7 include instant locking when theft is suspected, offline device locking, remote device locking, and identity check safeguards.

Software Update and Resources

Samsung is encouraging users to update to the latest software, One UI 7, to access these security features. For more information on anti-theft tools and what to do in case of a stolen phone, users can visit Samsung’s website.
