Insta360 recently introduced its new drone brand, Antigravity, with the promise of launching the world’s first consumer aerial drone equipped with built-in 360-degree video capture. The long-awaited debut is now here: the Antigravity A1.

The Antigravity A1 will boast an impressive 8K resolution for recording 360-degree videos, weighing only 249g. What sets it apart is its ability to detect payloads, ensuring it is solely used for filming purposes. Antigravity has now shared more details about the A1, along with the first images of this groundbreaking drone.

### Cutting-Edge Features of the Antigravity A1

As hinted by its lightweight design, the Antigravity A1 will be a compact drone with rotor arms that neatly fold up for convenient storage and travel. The A1 will feature a dual-lens camera system similar to Insta360’s X series of 360 cameras, mounted on the top and bottom of the fuselage. This setup allows for seamless stitching of footage, eliminating the drone’s presence in the final 360 video.

### Innovative Control System

Antigravity is taking a unique approach to piloting the A1 by ditching traditional stick controls in favor of a more intuitive system. The A1 will be operated using the Grip controller, resembling VR controllers like the Meta Quest Touch Pro. Paired with Antigravity’s Vision goggles, users will have a futuristic flying experience, steering the drone with hand gestures for a seamless and immersive flight.

The Antigravity A1 is set to hit the market in January 2026, offering a revolutionary drone experience to users. While the release may still be a few months away, Antigravity will be sending out pre-production models for select users to test and provide feedback. These contributors will also have the chance to win a share of Antigravity’s $20,000 reward pool. Exciting times lie ahead for drone enthusiasts eagerly anticipating the arrival of the Antigravity A1!
