Circular Announces New Ring 3 Series with Contactless Payments and Vibration Alerts

Smart ring manufacturer Circular revealed on Thursday its upcoming Ring 3 series, comprising a Pro model and a Slim version. Both rings will incorporate an NFC chip for contactless payments, vibration alerts for alarms and reminders, and additional features.

The Ring 3 Pro is designed with a slimmer profile than its predecessor and includes FDA-approved ECG functionality for atrial fibrillation detection, blood pressure trend monitoring, glucose tracking, advanced sleep analysis, and comprehensive biometric data. The device offers up to 12 days of battery life, exceeding the previous model’s seven-day duration.

The Slim variant is designed to be lighter and more compact than the Pro model, providing essential health and wellness tracking features, such as monitoring sleep, heart rate, HRV, SpO₂, skin temperature, and daily activity. It boasts a battery life of up to 10 days.

The announcement of the Circular Ring 3 series occurs during a period of increased competition in the smart ring market, with recent launches including the Oura Ring 5 and RingConn Gen 3.

That’s why we developed the Circular Ring 3 Slim — a lighter, more streamlined device that maintains the convenience of secure NFC payments while providing core health tracking in an extremely compact design.”

Both models feature vibration alerts that can be used for silent alarms, medication reminders, health notifications, and guided breathing exercises.

Both Ring 3 models are constructed from titanium steel, are water-resistant up to 50 meters, and support wireless charging. They will be offered in sizes 6 through 14 and will be available in colors such as gold, rose gold, silver, and black, similar to the Ring 2.

Details regarding pricing and preorders for the new Ring 3 series are expected to be announced in the upcoming months, with availability projected for early 2027.
